So many companies are in competition these days that a business owner must be sure to make his or her brand name stand out in the crowd. You must take steps to make your brand stand front and center in consumers' minds so that your brand will be the first brand that they go to when they need something crucial. The following are five tips that explain what you can do to make your brand name be dominant in the minds of the masses. You can try one method or a mixture of methods.
1. Use Bold and Stimulating Colors in Your Logo
The first tip for making your brand name stand out in the crowd is to use bold and stimulating colors. Stimulating colors plant themselves into consumer minds and pop back up like neon lights when they think of the brand name that is associated with the color. The color yellow is a vibrant color that signifies life and light. Brands such as Shell, Nikon and even McDonald’s use yellow in their logos. Consumers remember those bright logos when they think about gas, cameras and French fries.
2. Have Memorable Videos and Television Commercials
Television commercials can easily leave your brand names fresh in the minds of many consumers. They can also bring consumers to your storefront. Videos are the commercials of the Internet. If you create a video that is humorous or shockingly memorable, people will remember your brand name for many years. For example...
One of the most memorable commercials of all times was the old Wendy’s commercial with the elderly woman who asked the crucial question, “Where’s the beef?” People still remember the iconic Life Call commercial in which the elderly woman fell down the stairs and said, “I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up!” Some people may also remember the Life cereal commercials with the three brothers. The youngest brother Mikey was hard to please, but he liked his Life cereal. The quote from these commercials was, "Hey, Mikey! He likes it!" In the modern age, people may remember all the Geico commercials with the little Gekko. All the previously stated companies still exist and still sell their products. The point is that your commercials must be interesting enough to create a buzz that doesn’t quiet down for decades.
3. Use a Catchy Phone Number or Website Address
You can ensure that your business stays in the minds of modern consumers if you use a catchy phone number or website address. Your website address should be highly relevant to the products or services that you sell. In fact, it should contain the same word as the product you sell if possible. For example, the website “pens.com” sells pens. Simple but effective. The phone number for your business should be easy to remember, as well.
Most of the people who dwell in big cities think about Little Caesar’s Pizza because the company is constantly slashing its prices and offering them humongous discounts. Consumers can get large delicious pizzas for $5 from the company. Nowadays, it is difficult for consumers to find good pizza for less than $10. Little Caesars' sales continue to grow, and the company continues to keep affordability as one of the main factors that stands out in its name. You may want to consider doing some price slashing for your brand.
5. Beef Up the Customer Service
Customer service is paramount whether you are online or offline. Millions of consumers stay loyal to their providers because of the customer service they provide. Consider the Publix chain of grocery stores found in Florida. The stores are notorious for providing people with upbeat, smiley and helpful service at all times. Publix doesn’t offer stellar savings as compared to other grocery chains, but their customers still keep coming. Customer service is one of the strongest tools that you can use to keep your brand name in people’s minds. You can help your business by doubling the efforts that you currently have in place.
Any or all of the previously mentioned tips can help you to keep your brand name in consumers' minds and mouths. Many more ideas can stem from those. It may be best if you use as many tactics as possible. Eventually, you will be able to build on those ideas and create effective new strategies.
