This Thanksgiving we’re teaming up with Sweatcoin to raise donations for Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization working to connect people with food and end hunger.
From Thursday, Nov. 23 through Thursday, Nov. 30, Sweatcoiners who reside in the US will have the opportunity to donate their Sweatcoins to Feeding America.
In addition, Kiip will be matching up to 250,000 Sweatcoins in donations.
Let’s Get Physical
The average American is expected to consume 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving Day. That’s five pounds of turkey, or for you vegetarians reading, three entire tofurkeys. Talk about stuffing. It should come as no surprise then that with this uptick in consumption comes an increased motivation to get up and burn some extra calories. According to Runner’s World, Thanksgiving is the most popular cardio day of the year, surpassing even New Year’s Day.
While Thanksgiving is a day of bounty and blessings, many in our community struggle to meet even the basics when it comes to putting food on the table.
One in seven Americans turns to the Feeding America network for food assistance. This includes children, seniors, veterans, students, and families. Of the households served by Feeding America in 2014, 69% had to choose between food and utilities and 57% had to choose between food and housing. Hunger is happening in every community in America. We’re committed to taking action to help our community, and hope we can inspire you to do the same.
How to Participate (and Perspirate)
We’re inviting you to join us in partnership with Sweatcoin to take steps to end hunger. Sweatcoin enables you to turn your steps into digital currency, which can then be spent or donated in the Sweatcoin marketplace.
To get started, download Sweatcoin to your smartphone.
After install, Sweatcoin will run in the background tracking your outdoor steps throughout the day. You’ll earn approximately one Sweatcoin for every 1,000 steps you take. Once you start earning Sweatcoins, you can take them to the Sweatcoin marketplace and make a donation to Feeding America.

Bad ads hurt your app. No, really, they do. Bad ads can leave lasting damage, and with thousands of apps added to the app store every month, users have no incentive to stick with apps that leave a bad taste in their mouth.
If app developers know one thing for sure, it’s that there is an ever-increasing amount of competition for downloads. Between the Apple Store and the Google Play Store, there are more than two million apps available for download.
