The Best Ads of Super Bowl LII According to Kiip's Audience
The matchup of the Patriots and the Eagles during Super Bowl LII had me on the edge of my seat. It was the classic David and Goliath story of the Eagles trying to take down the massive Patriots. The game went to the very last second, which was great for the advertisers who had invested $5M dollars a piece for an opportunity to advertise during the Super Bowl.
Asking Our Audience
Here at Kiip, we love to engage with our users. We love their opinions, preferences and we absolutely love our users’ sense of humor. To learn more about our audience, we leverage a first-party survey solution, which polls users during natural pauses in their app experience.
#7. 6.8% -- Febreeze: The Only Man Whose Bleep Don't Stink
Meet Dave, his Bleep don’t stink. My favorite part of this spot was Dave’s mom saying, “my friend her son is a lawyer, but my son, his bleep don’t stink,’” with Dave’s dad following up, “that’s better than being a lawyer”.
#6. 6.9% -- Groupon: Who Wouldn’t?
Tiffany Haddish explains that only monsters don’t support local businesses. The ramifications are pretty funny and a good message to shop local.
#5. 13.2% -- Tide: It’s a Tide Ad
David Harbour reenacting all of the quintessential Super Bowl ad moments was an act of brilliance. AdWeek rated this as their top Super Bowl ad spot and I’m inclined to agree.
#4. 14.7% -- NFL: Touchdown Celebrations to Come
Watching Eli Manning and Odell Beckham, Jr. act out the infamous Dirty Dancing dance sequence was another hilarious Super Bowl moments. Props to Manning for really nailing the lift.
#3. 15.2%: Mountain Dew: Mountain Dew Ice
Morgan Freeman’s voice has been described as “butter melting on warm, brown bread” so it was a pleasant surprise to see him lip syncing Missy Elliot in this spot from Mountain Dew.
#2. 18.9% -- Doritos: Blaze
Watching Peter Dinklage rap to Busta Rhymes in a burning room made me want to run to the grocery store for Doritos immediately. So, the real question, is Tyrion a Targaryen?
#1. 24.9% -- Amazon: Alexa Lost Her Voice
I appreciated the guest spot from Jeff Bezos and found myself laughing hysterically all the way through.
